Dead on arrival perhaps?

Published Date: June 29th, 2007

I just saw two ambulances straddling the corner of ‘Lady and Sons’ restaurant. Now, they could have been using their civic privilege to get a good parking spot for lunch or they could (and this is my guess) have been rescuing a victim of friend chicken, butterbeans, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and biscuits. I am not usually one to laugh in the face of medical emergency but come on…..well all know that Paula’s place is a virtual recipe for heart attack. Anyway.

In other dining news:

  • Fred Pinitatas has taken over the General Manager position at Tubby’s Conch House after the resignation of long-time manager Dominic Moraco
  • Panera Bread is having some issues with their opening date as they can’t seem to keep their workers from stealing stuff overnight
  • Corleone’s has bad, bad food. Most say it is good but my spaghetti and meatballs tasted straight out of the Boyardee can

And this weekend we are going to focus on the top five summertime drinks in Savannah. They don’t have to be alcoholic or even cheap. They just have to be good! Keep watching for our list…..

Fred is a good guy–he was outstanding at Bubba’s and at Tubby’s (not the Conch House).

Good luck to him.

Hopefully the fried chicken victim is ok!

I’m excited to see your drinks list, it was a nice hot weekend for some cold ones.
