Where have we been all day

I know I have laid off the blogging in the last day but our office has been overrun with family as one of our teammembers is set to graduate from SCAD on Saturday. It has been quite a commotion. A welcome one, of course, but one nonetheless. Anyway. To entertain us we hopped a tour on the Savannah Movie Tours with “Hollywood” Ron Higgins today. What a fun tour. From the moment we walked onto his well appointed (and by well appointed I mean four flat screen TV’s, quality sound system, comfortable seats, clean floors, and ample air conditioning) bus we were entertained with a mix of history; both cinematic and southern. Ron himself was a great guy with a contagious smile and quite a few personal stories. Although it is a bit expensive at $25/person it is much more enjoyable (and perfect for this warm weather) than the trolleys or the horse carriages.

Tonight? Well, tonight we are off to the Cobblestone Conch House to enjoy some of General Manager Dominic Moraco’s hospitality. PS - Rumor has it Cobblestone is to be announced as Tubby’s Conch House starting next week. YUCK!

Glad to hear about the Savannah Movie Tours - we’ll definitely have to add that one to our “Things to do….” next time we drive down!

Can you believe it!! Tubby’s Conch House! I guess there won’t be any locals dining on River Street! More fried shit!!

Yeah, highly dissapointing! I think the parent company is being a bit indulgent and not thinking long term in regards to locals, off-season income, and quality of product. Sad to say but I won’t be going back!
