Red checkered tablecloths and handheld sparklers
Published Date: May 28th, 2007Wouldn’t it be nice if Memorial Day were about the first days of summer, red checkered tablecloths, and handheld sparklers just as the sun sets? We would all sit around on the porch drinking a glass of half and half and talking about Kennedy and just what he might do for our country. Alright, fine. So I have confused July 4, 1962 with today. It was nice while it lasted. Who can believe that bout of idealism though? Speaking of real. Today at Starbucks I passed three scooters that were identically colored and sitting in a row their handlebars cocked at the same angle. I felt for a moment like I was on a record cover for a 1960s brit-pop album. I wasn’t though. I was just seeing the travel faire for one of Savannah’s most talented photography groups, Attic Fire Architectural Photography. How much more fun can it get?
