Armstrong Atlantic State hosts 5K

5K run
One of our local colleges, Armstrong Atlantic, here in Savannah, is hosting a 5K run to benefit The Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. Sponsored, in part, by the ACM (or Association for Computing Machinery) on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the AASU campus is not for the faint of heart or diminished goodwill. Packet pick-up and registration time starts at 7:45 AM. The race will begin at 8:30 AM. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest couple, overall male and female winners, and age group winners.

If you are interested in participating, pre-registration prices are $10.00 per individual and $15.00 per couple. Children under 18 can particpate for $7.50. You will want to pre-register, as race day registration will be $15.00 per individual ($10.00 for 18 and under) and $20.00 per couple. Each participant will recieve a t-shirt (while supplies last) at the beginning of the race and a red carnation at the end of the race.
