Who says Savannah is behind the times?

Following on the tail of a Business 2.0 article that mentions coffeehouses and cafes being the office of the future (or perhaps the office of the now for start-ups), Savannah Morning News reported on coffeehouse offices in today’s article, “Brewing for business”. You can read the full article here. The opening quote, “Cell phones, inexpensive wireless Internet connections and $3-a-cup coffee have all come together to make your local neighborhood coffeehouse a center of business.“, is almost laughable. How many of us already work either from home or from the closest Wi-fi spot? I know I have been a telecommuter for a couple of years now. Is this really something new in the news? WOW! Any thoughts?
