Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood Play Savannah
Published Date: November 12th, 2006I can’t possibly think of a better way to spend my Saturday night than at the Savannah Civic Center with Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, and thousands of their fans. I’ve seen some amazing concerts over the last few months, but I have to say, Brad Paisley really knows how to entertain a crowd. He shook hands with fans close to the stage, threw at least 100 guitar picks out into the audience, and made a point to visit every corner of the stage and thank everyone who came out. He’s a performer in every sense of the word. Aside from the fact he can sing his butt off, he has this great interactive media display on a screen through the concert, with animations and short movies that he’s made specifically for the tour.
Oh and did I mention that he’s a fellow Mountaineer? It filled my little fangirl heart with pride to see him sporting a blue and gold flecked West Virginia guitar.
As for Carrie Underwood, she showed last night why she was named the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year. While not as seasoned as Brad, she did connect with the crowd and she was very humble about her superstardom and how grateful she is to the fans. And she can sing. Oh, and she’s amazingly gorgeous. It’s something to see her in magazines and on tv and she her beauty, but upfront and in person, she’s breathtaking. Two police officers standing next to me were melting into tiny little puddles every time she came close, so you can only imagine the reaction she was getting from the rest of the men in the crowd. And she was a big favorite with the teenage girls, who were out in full-force to see their American Idol.
Let’s cross our fingers and hope that Savannah keeps bringing class-acts like Brad and Carrie into town. It was a truly awesome show!
I’ve uploaded all of the pictures from the concert to PIXels, which you can see here.

Wow, great photos! You were so close!!!
