Shalom Y'all

Well, today is sabbath day and those who want to take a rest from the kitchen can make it over to Forsyth Park for a little Jewish Food! That’s right. I forgot until just this morning that today is the 18th Annual Congregation Mickve Israel Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival. Might I mention that Congregation Mickve Israel is the third oldest Jewish congregation in the United States, founded by 42 members on July 11, 1733. You can read more about their history on their website. Might I also add that their website is about the oldest in the United States. For weeks now they have been advertising reduced tickets to be sold online. But, today is the day of the festival and the tickets never made it on sale. Oh well. That WILL NOT deter me from Challah Bread, Blintzes, or Kugel! Let us know how your festival day went. Oh, Shalom Y’all!
